We're Hiring: Part Time Development Associate and Part Time Program Associate

Job Description:  Development Associate  

Hours/ Benefits:  Part-Time position, 20 to 25 hours per month 

Location: Remote work from anywhere in the U.S.  

Pay Rate: Hourly rate of $23-$26/hour  

Reports to: Executive Director   

Also works closely with: DignityUSA Treasurer, Communications/Marketing Committee, Development Committee, Technology Services Manager 

Position Overview: DignityUSA’s Development Associate will help the organization uncover potential opportunities for financial growth through analysis of current data. The position requires the ability to prioritize, work independently, manage time well, strong analytical and data base skills, and attention to detail.  

Essential Duties include, at a minimum, the following: 

  • Review and analyze data on existing donors (Monthly donors, monthly donor length of time at particular level, pledges not fulfilled, donors who gave prior year but not this year, donors with diminishing or static gift levels, first time givers in particular period or during a campaign, campaign statistics) 
  • Recommend follow-up actions 
  • Help implement basic follow ups (e.g., calls or personal email notes to first-time givers below certain amount) 
  • Provide needed documentation to those doing other follow up 
  • Share observations on giving trends/gaps 
  • Prepare standard and ad hoc reports for Board members, other staff, and DignityUSA leadership as needed. This includes membership and donor reports.    

Qualifications: 

  • BA/BS or equivalent combination of education, training and non-profit experience 
  • Experience in non-profit fundraising and report generation 
  • Attention to detail and commitment to excellent customer service 
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Teams, etc. 
  • Willingness to learn and use CiviCRM for report generation

Job Description:  Program Associate    

DignityUSA, the organization of Catholics committed to justice, equality and full inclusion of LGBTQIA+ people, is seeking a part-time associate to help us broaden our online programming. We are looking for someone excited about the opportunity to access and collaborate with diverse, multi-generational communities, and access to help us link with engaging people willing to present programs accessible to our national membership, and who is comfortable running Zoom meetings. We hope to add one or two programs per month to our current offerings. DignityUSA is committed to hiring equity and will be placing priority on reviewing applications from BIPOC, queer and disabled candidates. This role is 15-20 hours/month, fully remote, with some of those being evenings (Eastern time) and weekend hours. $20/hour. 

The candidate must be flexible and forward-thinking, with the ability to develop equitable online programming and present it through Zoom meetings. 

Essential Duties include, at a minimum, the following:

The candidate will, ideally, develop and support two online programs per month.

  • Outreach to potential speakers/facilitators for scheduling, honorarium agreements 

  • Scheduling Zoom sessions, developing promotional material content for social media and email, and creating registration forms 

  • Coordinating communications with Operations Manager 

  • As needed, serving as Technical Manager for programs

  • Willingness to learn basic CRM functions necessary for position
